About WTHRA
Founded in 1961, the Western Toy and Hobby Representatives Association is a non-profit organization. For the last 47 years we have produced and promoted the Western States Toy & Hobby Show. Our toy and hobby show has grown over the years to become both the second oldest and second largest trade show of its kind in the United States.
Our Annual Show
With travel to New York becoming more expensive and difficult, the Western States Toy & Hobby Show has grown in attendance, drawing from not only the west, but from many parts of the US, plus Mexico and the Pacific Rim countries. The beautiful show facilities, the pleasant California climate and the spacious setting all add to the appeal. With the increase in buyer attendance, we are also experiencing an increase in exhibitors, adding to our overall growth. Our show offers you the opportunity to expose your product to a varied group of retailers in a more relaxed environment than in New York, allowing precious time to present your line as it should be.*
Additionally, our show is the most cost effective show your company will participate in anywhere. As a non-profit organization, WTHRA’s sole purpose is to produce the Western States Toy & Hobby Show, not to make money. This allows us to offer the remarkable rate of $495.00 per booth plus a $250.00 entry fee, allowing our exhibitors to take all the space they need. Our show is held at the Fairplex in Pomona, CA. As a non-union hall, there are none of the astronomical drayage fees and set-up costs you get at most shows. You will find the Fairplex an exhibitor friendly facility for move-in, set-up and tear-down. The Fairplex is conveniently located near airports, hotels, restaurants and major southern California attractions. There is a beautiful on-site Sheraton Suites hotel. In addition, our wonderful social events have come to be looked forward to by all. These include our legendary casino night, our Awards dinner which honors the industry pioneers, our varied seminar program for exhibitors and buyers, as well as prizes, drawings and fun. Don’t miss this rare opportunity to spend quality selling time with many of the buyers and retailers that never make it to New York!
*Show is for trade only, not open to the public. No children under 16 allowed.
Our Mission To develop, promote, manage and nurture its trade show, mentor and educate its members and the industry they serve, to market and sell wonderful, safe products through integrity and vision with the understanding that our children will ultimately benefit.
